Getting started
From install to your first commit, in about five minutes.
DOCS
Five steps
- 01
Install
Grab the installer for your platform on the download page. Open the .dmg and drag the app into Applications on macOS; run the .msi or setup wizard on Windows; pick .deb, .rpm or .AppImage on Linux.
- 02
Add a workspace
Launch SVNexus and click "Add Workspace" on the welcome page. Either point it at an existing working copy on disk, or give it a repository URL and check one out on the spot.
- 03
Read file status
Once inside the workspace, the tree on the left groups files by directory — modified, unversioned, conflicted and missing each get their own colour. The toolbar switches between list and tree views.
- 04
Commit your changes
Tick the files you want, click Commit, write a log message and confirm. Double-click a file first if you want to read the diff before it goes in.
- 05
Update and revert
The toolbar updates or reverts the selection in one click. To see a file's history, right-click it and choose History.

Authentication and certificates
When a repository asks for a password, an SSH key passphrase, or keyboard-interactive authentication, SVNexus opens the matching prompt and hands the credentials to the Subversion client library. Untrusted server certificates and changed host keys are shown for confirmation first — never accepted silently.
